Winner pin from the XX Olympic Games in Munich 197. It belonged to GDR gymnast Erika Zuchold who won bronze in the uneven bars competition. Silver plated bronze, 1.2x1.2 cm. Medallists received these pins in addidtion to the medals they won. They were awarded in gold, siver or bronze. Very rare.Erika Zuchold came second, receiving the same number of point as Russian gymnast Olga Korbut. Thus there was no bronze medal in this event in 1972. Plus the IOC winner pin for the medal numbered "5551" which was awarded supplementaryly in the 1990ies. Even though Erika Zuchold won the silver medal she only received the bronze pin. The seilver pin was awawrded to the far more popular gymnast Olga Korbut. The items are from the estate of Erika Zuchold (1947-2015)
