Official VIP souvenir replica of the 1st Olympic torch from Berlin made for the Olympic Games Munich 1972. Used on the first ever Olympic Relay from Olympia to Berlin. Design: Walter E. Lemcke, Berlin. Made by Krupp, Essen. Height 27cm, The replica differs only slightly in size form the original! Presented by "Krupp" to VIPs at the Olympic Games in Munich 1972. Rarer than the original! Approx. 2 mm smaller. The base of the torch starts off with a vertical of approx 4 mm until it turns into a conical form. Weighs approx 425 g. Weight of the original torch of 1936 was 450 g. small scratch on top of the torches plate.
