World Cup 1970 TED Picture Disc Ullstein AV picture disc of the World Cup in Mexico 1970. Unused. In original case and with plastic disc showing matches of the World Cup 1970. Playing time ten minutes approximately. The first video disc was produced in the UK in June 1970. It was presented in (West) Germany in combination with a player (picturedisc player). It worked with TED system (Television Disc System). Teh only player for these discs was the Telefunken TP1005 which was presented at Belin Funkausstellung in 1973. It was on sale in 1975. After less than two years the system vanished. The TED disc was 21 cm in diametre. It consited of a thin, flexible plastic foil in a cardboard cover. There was enough space for ten minutes pictures and sound. 23.5x21.4 cm. Hamburg Ullstein 1973
