Gold official pin of honour of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate for the 1954 football world champions from Rhineland-Palatinate. Coloured enamelled state coat of arms made of gold (hallmarked, 585 gold) on set on handmade wreath of honour made of gold (585 gold with jeweller's hallmark) with the inscription "Weltmeister 1954 - 58". Total weight: approx. 8.7 grams, 2.7 cm. Only Horst Eckel, Fritz Walter, Ottmar Walter, Werner Liebrich and Werner Kohlmeyer received this award. Personal copy of Horst Eckel. Was presented to the five world champions from Kaiserslautern by the Minister President of Rhineland-Palatinate on the occasion of a ceremony in Mainz. The inscription 1954 - 58 refers to the fact that the winners of the 1954 World Cup were world champions from 1954-1958 and were not replaced until the 1958 World Cup.
